Range Rover has unveiled its inaugural fully electric SUV in the United Kingdom, with a starting price set at £154,070. Interested buyers can now place their orders, with the first customer deliveries anticipated to commence in 2027. This launch marks a significant milestone for Jaguar Land Rover as it advances its commitment to electric mobility.

The new Range Rover Electric will be assembled at the Jaguar Land Rover plant in Solihull, UK, highlighting its strategic shift towards sustainable vehicle production. The luxury SUV is equipped with dual electric motors, delivering up to 550PS and 850Nm of torque. This setup allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds, while offering an estimated driving range of up to 372 miles based on the WLTP testing cycle.

A key feature of the Range Rover Electric is its 118.5kWh battery capacity, which supports 800-volt charging technology. This enables the battery to be recharged from 10% to 80% in approximately 22 minutes under optimal conditions. The SUV maintains Range Rover’s signature luxurious design and off-road prowess, integrating an electric powertrain with enhanced aerodynamic elements. Impressively, it can navigate water depths of up to 900mm.

The development of this vehicle has been a comprehensive process, involving several years of design and testing. Supporting the production of the Range Rover Electric will be Jaguar Land Rover’s facility in Wolverhampton, tasked with manufacturing the necessary battery packs and electric drive units.
