INDIANAPOLIS—As wildfire smoke continues to blanket parts of the U.S. and Canada, Carrier is offering expert tips and tech-driven solutions to help people breathe easier indoors.
The EPA warns that smoke particles can trigger asthma, irritate lungs, and worsen heart conditions. Carrier recommends simple but effective steps: run HVAC systems on fan mode with high-efficiency filters, seal gaps to block smoke, and use HEPA-filtered portable air purifiers.
“Smoke doesn’t stop at the door—it can seep inside and pose serious health risks,” said Nick Arch, VP and GM of Residential Solutions at Carrier. “Our products are designed to help families reclaim clean air at home.”
Carrier’s lineup includes high-performance HVAC filters and portable purifiers. Earlier this year, the company donated $2.5 million worth of units to frontline workers and schools in Los Angeles.
